Shoden initiates you into the First Degree of Reiki and begins your journey of self-healing and self-discovery.
Through traditional Reiju (attunement) and guided meditation, you will learn to sense, cultivate, and channel ki (life energy) for personal wellness, clarity, and grounding.

This course blends both Usui Reiki Ryōhō (Japanese tradition) and Usui Shiki Ryōhō (Western Takata lineage) — providing a balanced foundation in philosophy, meditation, and healing techniques.

You’ll receive instruction in Usui-sensei’s original meditation and cleansing practices, as well as modern self-treatment methods to support a lifelong practice.

Okuden deepens your Reiki journey by introducing the sacred symbols and mantras that amplify healing potential and open the practitioner’s inner channel.

You’ll learn traditional Japanese techniques alongside Western methods, including distance healing (Enkaku Chiryo-ho), symbol invocation, and mantra meditation (Kotodama).

Second Degree certifies you as a Reiki Practitioner, qualified to work professionally and share Reiki with others.

Shinpiden, the “Mystery Teachings,” is the third degree of Usui Reiki Ryōhō — the level of personal mastery and spiritual realization.
This training is for dedicated Reiki practitioners who are ready to embody Reiki not just as a healing modality, but as a way of being — a living path toward inner peace, radiant awareness, and deep abiding bliss.

In this immersive program, you will deepen your energetic sensitivity, refine your meditative practices, and experience the higher transmissions of Reiki that open the gateway to Anshin Ritsumei— the state of complete inner clarity and liberation that Usui Sensei described as the ultimate goal of Reiki practice.

Shinpiden is not mastery of Reiki — it is mastery of self. Self-realizing and surrendering the inner self to the universal self until all duality dissolves. It is the art of living Reiki as your natural state.

This advanced initiation weaves together Usui Reiki Ryōhō, Tantric and Zen Buddhist philosophy, practices and Ayurvedic theory to cultivate mastery, insight, and unwavering presence.

The Path of Compassion, Wisdom, & Devotion

The Shihan level, meaning “Master Teacher”, is the final initiation in Usui Reiki Ryōhō—the passage from personal mastery to sacred transmission.
It is for practitioners who have completed Shinpiden (Reiki Level III) and are ready to embody, transmit, serve and preserve the living lineage of Reiki in its original spirit.

Shihan marks your evolution from practitioner to teacher—one who carries the light of Reiki forward with wisdom, humility, and devotion.

This advanced training and mentorship is both spiritual and practical, offering the tools, insight, and inner transformation required to start a professional practice, teach authentically, and attune others to Reiki energy.

The Shihan curriculum integrates classical Japanese Reiki Ryōhō , Tantric Buddhist meditation, Zen philosophy, and Ayurvedic science, guiding you to become both teacher and vessel.

You will learn how to conduct attunements (Reiju), guide students through initiations, and uphold the sacred ethical and energetic foundations of the Usui lineage.

The Essence of the Shihan Path

To teach Reiki is to embody it.
To transmit it is to become transparent to the Source from which it flows.

In the Shihan path, the boundaries between teacher and student, self and Source, dissolve.
You are not teaching Reiki—you are allowing Reiki to teach through you.
This is the highest form of service: to awaken others to their innate luminosity.
